MAPLE'S ADOPTION INTERVIEW...

Q: What's your name?
A: Maple.

Q: How old are you?
A: 1 year and 11 months old! I can't wait for my birthday in November.

Q: What breed are you?
A: I'm a 35kg Rottweiler X Doberman. Some people say I'm large but don't all models have long legs...

Q: Please describe your energy level.
A: Low to medium.

Q: Do you enjoy the company of other animals?
A: Yes! I love playing with other dogs. Don't tell anyone but my best friend is a Chihuahua.

Q: What about cats?
A: I'm currently living with 2 cats. While they're part of the family, I'm completely unfazed by their presence.

Q: Have you been around many children?
A: Yes, a toddler, school aged children and even a teenager. They were great! If I ever feel nervous, I will retreat to my crate.

Q: What are your greatest skills?
A: I have heaps! I'm crate trained, toilet trained and understand basic obedience. I travel well in the car, walk nicely on lead and have great recall. My foster mum says I'm perfectly behaved inside the house too! I might be the world's best dog!

Q: Can you swim?
A: Yes, but I feel a little uncoordinated. I think the river is the best place to play on a hot day!

Q: Are you affectionate:
A: I love nothing more than a cuddle, pat or belly rub!

Q: Are you able to left alone for part of the day?
A: Yes, but whole days alone wouldn't be fun.

Q: What is your biggest fear?
A: The vets... Strange things happen in that place! I've come a really long way through. I am now brave enough to go inside. All the treats have definitely helped.

Q: How can a family win your heart?
A: Be patient as I learn to trust you. It may take some time but I promise it's worth it! I will love you with my whole heart and be the most loyal companion.
