Loving forever home waiting

Hi, please hear me out... I lost my business earlier this year, due to the cost of living crisis, anyway, I now am training / upskilling to work from home, I have had enough of the rat race after 33 years of full time work...I am a single 49 year old man (kids grown up now) and I want to rescue a dog for a forever home, I can’t afford to buy a dog but can afford the upkeep and on-going costs, I will give a dog all the time in the world and have a ideal forever home, here is the catch...I do not drive (plenty of walks)
I can’t afford to buy a dog but can afford the ongoing costs and upkeep / insurance etc... It’s a big ask I know, but I am hoping its more important to gift a dog due to my situation and hope that the very best forever home is more important than money for the dog... believe me, if I could afford to buy I would.. I have over 28 years’ experience with two dogs I had in my life, both died aged 14 but I had them both from pups and gave them the best life a dog could wish for... I have experience dog sitting other breeds - I understand the commitment and issues to expect and costs .. I would also ask that my home is inspected to ensure you can see where the dog will spend its life etc.. that's if this is acceptable, and I totally understand if you say no for obvious reasons...
