George (Ellie's Canine Rescue & Rehome)

George is a very loving, loyal male , 1 years old, size large Heading mix (we don't know what George is mixed with)

Good with children over 10: Unknown
Needs fencing at least: 1.50 cm high
Can be left alone during work hours: Maybe. Well crate trained and patient

George has been hand fed every day in return for basic obedience. He knows sit and won't move until release word 'ok' he knows down, sit pretty and come.

Recall is pretty good but can be built on. Close heel is good and still in training with treats. Long line is still useful but on a beach or outing he now stays close. He isn't swimming yet but confident around beach and water is improving.

He likes to play tug and fetch with a particular ball. Can show you this game he loves it. He's happy crated overnight and during the day. Have worked on his neutrality around people and dogs and is much better with room to solidify.

A good home will be a couple or single with an active lifestyle that George could be part of. He likes a strong leader and will be a very faithful companion for the right person. Happy to help integrate and transition him to a new home as long as it takes.

Ellie’s Canine Rescue are based in the Greater Wellington region, depending on the dog we do adopt out of the Wellington region but request any potential owner meet us and the dog in person and if successful drive home with the dog. We do not ship dogs unmet. Undesexed dogs and puppies are not rehomed outside of the Greater Wellington Region.
