Cats Protection Canterbury - Maximus

The Cats Protection League is a registered charity dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming cats and kittens. You are welcome to visit our cattery where our experienced staff will introduce you to cats who will fit your lifestyle and be a pleasure to own. Cats are individuals so please do not be offended if we steer you towards cats other than the one that first caught your eye.

One of the cats available is MAXIMUS.

Maximus is a teen (older kitten). Shy but sweet-natured, he is not yet keen on being handled but is coming along nicely. He does head butts and enjoys gentle fuss on his own terms. He will best suit a quiet adult home and a patient new owner who is happy to spend time gaining his trust.

Maximus was trapped as a stray in Governor's Bay. He seems to have had some early socialisation so he was probably abandoned rather than born wild. He will need an extended time indoors to fully settle and may be okay as an indoor-only pet.

All our cats have been vet checked, desexed, tested for feline aids and leukaemia, wormed, defleaed, microchipped and vaccinated. We will always take them back if it does not work out.

Our website is **** and the cattery is situated at 14 Charlesworth Street, Woolston. It is open 11.00am to 2.30pm Tuesday to Friday and Sunday, 11.00am to 3.00pm Saturday.
