Cats Protection Canterbury - Brighton

The Cats Protection League is a registered charity dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and rehoming cats and kittens. You are welcome to visit our cattery where our experienced staff will introduce you to cats who will fit your lifestyle and be a pleasure to own. Cats are individuals so please do not be offended if we steer you towards cats other than the one that first caught your eye.

One of the cats available is BRIGHTON.

Brighton is 5-6 years old. He is a shy but sweet boy who does big head boops. He has tested positive for FIV (feline aids) so he needs to be an indoor-only cat with no other pets, and will suit a quiet adult home and a patient new owner.

Brighton originally came into our care as a stray from the Central City, and his tipped ear suggests he was desexed as part of a TNR campaign. He was adopted in early June 2021 but went missing. He has now been found but his adopter has moved on with their life so he has come back to us for rehoming.

Hard living has left its mark on him - he was black when he was last in our care! We also found an abscess deep in his armpit, this has responded well to treatment.

All our cats have been vet checked, desexed, tested for feline aids and leukaemia, wormed, defleaed, microchipped and vaccinated. We will always take them back if it does not work out.

Our website is **** and the cattery is situated at 14 Charlesworth Street, Woolston. It is open 11.00am to 2.30pm Tuesday to Friday and Sunday, 11.00am to 3.00pm Saturday.
