Anyone found a good driving test cancellation slot recently?

In my area recently, it’s been really difficult to find early driving test dates, so I’ve been hunting for cancellation slots. Has anyone else had luck snagging one of those earlier dates when others cancel? It seems like they pop up randomly, and I’m curious how often they actually appear on the online booking system. Also, is it better to check at certain times of the day or use any particular tricks to spot cancellations quickly? For those who have successfully grabbed a slot recently, how did you manage that process without losing the chance to someone else? I’d like some advice since waiting for the original date feels too long. Does changing test locations improve the odds much when searching for these cancellations?
